Below 2 volt the charger charges with about 0.5 mA, this is enough to reset a protection pcb (Note: The led is green).(*註:這就是原廠所說的0V電池激活功能)
Between 2 volt and 3 volt the charger charges with about 80 mA.
Between 3 and 4.15 volt the charger is applying regular charge current (See curve below).
new Pila chargers will terminate charge at 4.2v. most low end chargers will trickle charge after light turns green. a trickle charge will eventually overcharge.
li-ion cells have a narrow charge widow of 4.10v-4.20v, without a natural termination point. And will accept charge long as you feed current to cell. until thermal runaway is reached... rapid disassembly of cell (explosion) if other cells are close by (secondary explosions) possibly burning down your home.
Trickle charge for lithium-ion is just plain stupid.
I just don't get it. This stuff is not magic. The correct way to charge lithium-ion cells has been well known for a long time.
